C1 esterase inhibitor is a single chain acid glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 110,000. The protein has a high carbohydrate content. In immunoelectrophoresis it ha an alpha mobility. The concentration in normal serum ranges from 150 to 350 _g/ml. Reduced levels are observed in hereditary angioedema. It regulates the activation of complement factor C1 as well as the activity of activated C1 by coupling with the active catalytic site at the light chains of C1r and C1s. Moreover it also inhibits, kallikrein, Factor XI and Factor XII._x000B__x000B_FreundÍs complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.Antibody against the Hu protein or peptide or recombinant supplied in 1 volumes. Ask for quote if you need bulk.Tissue, pathway, proteinase, peptidase, protease ,acrosin, lipoprotein, activator, caspase, trypsin, papain, esterase inhibitors are proteins or receptor ligands or receptor antagonists that bind to an enzyme receptor and decreases its activity. Since blocking an enzyme's activity can kill a pathogen or correct a metabolic imbalance, many drugs are enzyme inhibitors. Not all receptor antagonist that bind to enzymes are inhibitors; enzyme activator ligands or agonists bind to enzymes and increase their enzymatic activity, while enzyme substrates bind and are converted to products in the normal catalytic cycle of the enzyme.

Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
