Immunogen

C1 component of human complement is a complex of three glycoproteins: C1q, C1r and C1s. C1q has a molecular weight of 492.000 and is present in plasma in an average concentration of 80 _g/ml. It consists of a complex of 18 polypeptide chains of three different types, A, B and C; 6 of each type. The subcomponent C1q is responsible for the binding of C1q to immuno-complexes an membranes via the Fc portion of the immunoglobulin. The subunit C1q is isolated as a homogenous protein for use in antiserum production. FreundÍs complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Storage conditions

Goat anti Human C1q, conjugated with FITC, Primary Antibodies philized conjugate is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4ÁC; prolonged storage at or below -20ÁC. It is reconstituted by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water, spun down to remove insoluble particles, divided into small aliquots, frozen and stored at or below -20ÁC. Prior to use, an aliquot is thawed slowly in the dark at ambient temperature, spun down again and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. Working dilutions should be stored at +4ÁC, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the immunoconjugate. Lyophilized at +4Á C--at least 10 years. Reconstituted at or below -20Á C--3-5 years. Reconstituted at +4Á C--7 days

Description

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.Antibody against the Hu protein or peptide or recombinant supplied in 1 volumes. Ask for quote if you need bulk.

Properties

This Exalpha Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) antibody is currently after some BD antibodies the most commonly used fluorescent dye for FACS. When excited at 488 nanometers, FITC has a green emission that's usually collected at 530 nanometers, the FL1 detector of a FACSCalibur or FACScan. FITC has a high quantum yield (efficiency of energy transfer from absorption to emission fluorescence) and approximately half of the absorbed photons are emitted as fluorescent light. For fluorescent microscopy applications, the 1 FITC is seldom used as it photo bleaches rather quickly though in flow cytometry applications, its photo bleaching effects are not observed due to a very brief interaction at the laser intercept. Exalpha FITC is highly sensitive to pH extremes.Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
