Influenza virus is a single-stranded RNA virus, segmented, 70nm in diameter and enveloped. Strains are described by geographic origin, strain number, year of isolation and hemagglutination (H) and neuraminidase (N) antigens.
Allantoic fluid of 10 days old embryonated eggs, inoculated with influenza A virus, strain A/ New Caledonia/20/99 IVR 116. The Influenza Virus was purified by Ultracentrifugation with 10-40 % sucrose gradient.
Supplied as a liquid in STE, 0.1% sodium azide, 0.005% merthiolate. ³ 98% No contaminants detected. Single band by SDS-PAGE, IEP, and/or RID.
