Long description

As an efficient general counterstain for cell and tissue substrates with immunoconjugates with a label contrasting with the greenish-yellow fluorescence of this product. The purpose of counterstaining is to enhance the optical contrast of the immunospecific staining against a counterstained background. Working dilutions fare usually between 1:20 an 1:80.

Application

ELISA,Immunocytochemistry,Immunohistochemistry (frozen),(In)direct immunofluorescence

Antibody's suited for

ELISA,Immunocytochemistry,Immunohistochemistry (frozen),(In)direct immunofluorescence. The conjugate is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C, prolonged storage at -20°C. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water. Spin down to remove insoluble particles, divide into small aliquots, and store frozen at or below -20°C. Prior to use an aliquot is thawed at ambient temperature, spun down again, and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile PBS pH7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the conjugate. Diluted product should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day.

Storage

Lyophilized at +4°C--at least 10 years. Reconstituted at or below -20°C--3-5 years reconstituted at +4°C--7 days

Properties

If you buy Antibodies supplied by nordc they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.This nordc Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) antibody is currently after some BD antibodies the most commonly used fluorescent dye for FACS. When excited at 488 nanometers, FITC has a green emission that's usually collected at 530 nanometers, the FL1 detector of a FACSCalibur or FACScan. FITC has a high quantum yield (efficiency of energy transfer from absorption to emission fluorescence) and approximately half of the absorbed photons are emitted as fluorescent light. For fluorescent microscopy applications, the 1 FITC is seldom used as it photo bleaches rather quickly though in flow cytometry applications, its photo bleaching effects are not observed due to a very brief interaction at the laser intercept. nordc FITC is highly sensitive to pH extremes.

About

Immunoglobulin gamma, IgG, mouse monoclonal H&L chain clones or rabbit, goat polyclonal antibodies have 4 parts. There are 2 heavy chains, 2 light chains. The IgG antibody has 2 antigen binding sites. They represent 70% or more of serum antibodies. This antibody can be antigen purified or protein A or G purified. For storage sodium azide is added or you can call us to request azide free antibody preparations. These will need colder storage temperatures.
