Goat anti-Chicken IgY (H + L) (HRP) was raised in Goat using purified chicken IgY (whole protein) emulsified in Freund’s adjuvant as the immunogen.
Chicken IgY
liquid form in 50 mM HEPES, pH 7.0, with 0.01% thimerosal, 0.1 M NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide added as an antimicrobial agent and 0.2 % BSA.
Store at 4 deg C for short term storage. For long term storage add glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 deg C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Protect from light.
Blue Ice
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
Chickens like all bird species have IgY antibodies that are very stable and found in the yolk. Gallus Gallus domestica is the Latin name of the Chicken.HRP conjugates are often primary rabbit polyclonal antibodies couples to the enzyme horseradish peroxidase (HRP), found in the roots of horseradish. Also monoclonal HRP conjugates are often used for Western Blot.Chicken yolk polyclonal Immunoglobulin Y (abbreviated as IgY) is a type of immunoglobulin which is the major antibody in bird, reptile, and lungfish blood. It is also found in high concentrations in chicken egg yolk. As with the other immunoglobulins, IgY is a class of proteins which are formed by the immune system in reaction to certain foreign substances, and specifically recognize them.
