Species reactivity

This immunoconJugate is not species-specific since Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antisera to immunoglobulins. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail.

Specificity and cross-reactivity

The reactivity of the antiserum IS directed to the Fc subunit of the IgM molecule, which expresses strict (class) specificity. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial in immunodiffusion using various antiserum concentrations against chicken serum, a single precipitin line has been obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin lines obtained with the purified IgM used as Immunogens. It does not react with IgG, IgG/Fab fragments and IgA or any non-Ig protein in chicken serum. as tested by Immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion.

Purification method

Hyperimmune antisera with strong precipitating activity are selected for fractionation and purification of the IgG (7S) fraction containing the bulk of the defined antibody specificity. It IS free of other serum proteins as tested by immunoelectrophoresis

Form/Appearance

FITC-coupled purified hyperimmune goat IgG lyophilized from a solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2).

Storage and shipping

Handling: The lyophilized conjugate is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4'C; prolonged storage at or below -20'C. It is reconstituted by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water, spun down to remove insoluble particles, divided into small aliquots, frozen and stored at or below -20'C. Prior to use, an aliquot is thawed slowly at ambient temperature, spun down again and used to prepare working dilutions by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS. pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. Working dilutions should be stored at +4'C. not refrozen, and preferably used the same day. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the immunoconjugate. Packing: Vial with 1 mllyophilized immunoconjugate. Storage and Shelf life: Lyophilized at +4'C = at least 10 years reconstituted at or below -20'C =3-5 years reconstituted at +4 'C =7 days_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_

ELISA (EIA), Immunocytochemistry (IHC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), (In)direct Immunofluorescence (IF)

Description

productone is a polyclonal antibody of high purity and binding affinity for the antigen that it is risen against. Properly used, this antibody will ensure excellent and reproducible results with guaranteed success for the applications that it is tested in. Polyclonal antibodies have series of advantages - larger batches can be supplied at a time, they are inexpensive to manufacture and respectively to buy, the time needed for production is considerably shorter. Polyclonal antibodies generally are more stable and retain their reactivity under unfavorable conditions. To obtain more detailed information on productone, please, refer to the full product datasheet.

Advisory

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

Additional description

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

Properties

If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Polyclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.Chickens like all bird species have IgY antibodies that are very stable and found in the yolk. Gallus Gallus domestica is the Latin name of the Chicken. This MBS Polyclonals Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) antibody is currently after some BD antibodies the most commonly used fluorescent dye for FACS. When excited at 488 nanometers, FITC has a green emission that's usually collected at 530 nanometers, the FL1 detector of a FACSCalibur or FACScan. FITC has a high quantum yield (efficiency of energy transfer from absorption to emission fluorescence) and approximately half of the absorbed photons are emitted as fluorescent light. For fluorescent microscopy applications, the 1 FITC is seldom used as it photo bleaches rather quickly though in flow cytometry applications, its photo bleaching effects are not observed due to a very brief interaction at the laser intercept. MBS Polyclonals FITC is highly sensitive to pH extremes.Immunoglobulin M, or IgM for short, is a basic antibody that is produced by B cells. IgM is by far the physically largest antibody in the human circulatory system. It is the first antibody to appear in response to initial exposure to an antigen
