Long description

The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to the Fc portion of the IgE molecule, which represents strict isotype (class specificity. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against mouse serum. No precipitation reaction is obtained with purified IgG, including all subclasses, IgA, IgM, IgG/Fab fragments or other serum proteins. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgE in mouse serum and other body fluids or to determine its concentration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of mouse IgE from serum or plasma. This antiserum is not intended for use in non-precipitating antibody-binding or other highly sensitive assays. For such use labelled an unlabelled cytochemical and immunoassay grade reagents meeting the necessary additional specificity an performance requirements are available.

Antibody come from

Highly purified monoclonal IgE isolated from mouse serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Other description

Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole antiserum No preservative added. Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal goat serum. No foreign proteins added.

Antibody's reacts with these species

The antiSerum does not cross-react with any other component of the Mouse Ig system. Inter-species cross reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants, but this has not been tested because of the very low level of IgE in most species.

Antibody's suited for

Immunoprecipitation. The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C; prolonged storage at or below -20°C. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water. Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day. Precipitin titre 1:32 when tested against monoclonal IgE containing mouse serum in agarblock immunodiffusion titration.

Storage

Lyophilized at +4° C--at least 10 years. Reconstituted at or below -20° C--3-5 years. Reconstituted at +4° C--7 days

Description

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. This is against a protein of mus musculus directed antibody.

Latin name

Properties

Immunoglobulin E (IgE) kappa or Fc specific antibody is a kind of antibody (or immunoglobulin (Ig) "isotype") that has only been found in mammals. IgE is synthesized by plasma cells. Monomers of IgE consist of two heavy chains (ε chain) and two light chains, with the ε chain containing 4 Ig-like constant domains (Cε1-Cε4). IgEs play a role in allergy and response to parasite infection. High levels of IgEs caused by parasites can lower the allergic reaction of patients to allergens common present in the human environment. As such the parasite history of an allergic patient needs to be taken in consideration as a positive factor.

Test

Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
